In the first quarter of 2023, the top five social apps in Kenya demonstrated diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, highlights the performance of TikTok Lite - Save Data, Facebook Lite, Instagram, Save Status - Video Downloader, and X.

TikTok Lite - Save Data from TikTok Pte. Ltd. saw weekly revenue fluctuate between $7.8K and $9.9K. Weekly downloads peaked at approximately 343K in late December and experienced a downward trend, ending at around 213K in late March. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 3.9M throughout the quarter.

Facebook Lite by Meta Platforms, Inc. had a modest increase in weekly revenue, starting at $131 and reaching $221 by the end of March. Downloads were consistent, averaging around 100K weekly, with a peak of 114K in the last week of March. Active users showed a slight increase from 11.7M to 12M over the quarter.
